How to find your camera's RTSP URL

Every IP camera exposes its live stream over RTSP at a vendor-specific path. Here is how to build the URL for the most common brands.

Anatomy of an RTSP URL

rtsp://username:password@host:554/path

• username:password — the camera login (often admin).
• host — the camera's IP or a DDNS hostname.
• 554 — the default RTSP port.
• path — the stream path, which differs by vendor.

Common vendor paths

• Hikvision: /Streaming/Channels/101 (main), /102 (sub)
• Dahua: /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
• Axis: /axis-media/media.amp
• Uniview: /unicast/c1/s1/live
• Reolink: /h264Preview_01_main

Check the camera's manual or web interface, or scan it with ONVIF Device Manager, which reports the exact RTSP profile URIs. Then paste the URL into the player on the home page.
